About AiCeph
AiCeph LLC is a research and education consultancy, a Japanese limited liability company (合同会社 アイケフ).
The company name is a concatenation of two words: the Japanese prefix Ai- (愛, love) and Ceph, the first part of the word Cephalopoda (頭足類), which is the scientific word for a group of molluscan animals including octopuses, squids, cuttlefishes and nautiluses (タコ, イカ, コウイカ, オウムガイ).
Work performed by AiCeph staff includes
(Experimental Biology, Aquaculture, Fisheries Policy),
(Lectures, Seminars, Examinations) and
(Proof-reading, Editing and Translation).
The Executive Chairman is Consultant Professor Ian G. Gleadall, a marine biology specialist, experienced mostly in research concerning the physiology, taxonomy and aquaculture of octopuses. Former Professor of Applied Marine Biology at Tohoku University and Professor of Marine Policy at Tohoku Bunka Gakuen University, Sendai; with postdoctoral research experience while based at the Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, the Electrical Communication Research Institute, and the Graduate School of Information Sciences; and at the National Institute of Basic Biology, Okazaki; with additional co-operative research experience at the RIKEN Photodynamics Research Institute (now RIKEN Centre for Advanced Photonics), and at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST).
代表グレドル・イアン科学博士は 東北大学 大学院 農学研究科 応用海洋生物学 元教授 及び 東北文化学園大学 総合政策学部 海洋政策 元教授です。農学研究科所属以前も、東北大学大学院医学系研究科を始め、大学院情報科学研究科, 大学院 電気通信研究所など、東北大学全てのキャンパスで、幅広い分野の研究や講義の経験を持ちます。理化学研究所(RIKEN)フォトダイナミックス研究所(仙台)及び岡崎基礎生物学研究所などでのPD経験もあり、沖縄科学技術大学院大学(OIST)の協同研究者経験も持ちます。
